IC7 · Diagnostic

Where does your thinking actually sit?

When AI flattens capable people into the same register, the edge is knowing exactly where your thinking sits — and raising it on purpose. Paste a sample of your own writing — a few paragraphs of real work. The diagnostic reads it for the markers of intellectual complexity and places it on the seven-level scale, with your next move up. It runs entirely in your browser; nothing is sent anywhere.

How it scores

Integrative complexity has two components, and the diagnostic looks for the surface markers of each:

  • Differentiation — do you hold more than one dimension or perspective in view? (Markers like however, whereas, trade-off, depends, competing.)
  • Integration — do you connect those dimensions under a governing idea? (Markers like relationship between, framework, therefore, reconcile, governs.)

Differentiation without integration is a list. Integration without differentiation is a slogan. IC·07 is both, directed by judgement — including the judgement to govern the AI drafting alongside you.

This is an indicative, lexical estimate, not a trained-rater score. It reads the shape of the language, not the truth of the argument — so connective words used loosely can flatter it. The real discipline of climbing the scale is what the IC7 course teaches.

Knowing your level is the first move.

The diagnostic shows you where the thinking flattens. The method shows you how to raise it on purpose — and keep your voice while AI does the producing.
